“The best operation begins with knowing whether an operation is truly needed.”

Surgery is never only a technical act. It begins with listening, an accurate diagnosis and an honest conversation about what will—and will not—help.

Dr Siddharthan Rajagopal's practice brings together clinical experience, minimally invasive technique, research and long-term follow-through. Every plan is built around the patient, not simply the procedure.

His surgical training is further strengthened by a Fellowship in Minimal Access Surgery, certification in robotic surgery and clinical- research training through Harvard Medical School's Global Clinical Scholars Research Training programme.

Dr Siddharthan Rajagopal has participated in more than 3,000 minimally invasive procedures across hepatopancreatobiliary, hernia and colorectal surgery. He also had the distinctive opportunity to closely observe the Da Vinci 5 during its pilot phase in the United States. His clinical aim is to reduce postoperative recovery time while maximising the effectiveness of every appropriately selected surgical intervention.

He is an Associate Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, a member of the Harvard Alumni Club, and a member of both the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons and the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons. At SAGES 2023 in Montreal, Canada, he presented an abstract in the Emerging Technologies session, focused on opportunities for funding and collaboration around artificial intelligence, laparoscopy and robotics.

He is also the founder of SurgeOmniQ-X, an early-stage venture exploring artificial intelligence and advanced optical imaging to help surgical robots achieve superior outcomes. He advocates the ethical and safe use of artificial intelligence to advance surgery and foster disruptive, clinically meaningful innovation.
